A day out at Glynllifon is a real adventure. Plan ahead to make the most of your time whether you’re coming as a family, bringing the dog or popping in for a relaxing lunch. With paths, great facilities and friendly wardens come and discover why Parc Glynllifon is one of North Wales’ best attractions.

Getting here
- Just 20 minutes drive from Bangor to the North and Porthmadog to the South.
- Head along the A499 until you reach the large arch entrance, on your left if heading South.
- Drive through the arch and take the first left, taking you to the parking area.
- Continue on foot beyond the parking area to the café, shop and gate into the main park.
Admission
Book your day or season tickets in advance, with discounts for children and pensioners. Upon arrival you can enter the park and enjoy your day out. As you explore, one of our wardens will stop you to say hi and check your tickets.
Parking
Parking is provided free of charge within the ticket price.
Everything you need
Once you’re in the park you’ll find toilet & baby changing facilities, a café with indoor and outdoor seating, a playground for little ones and access to boutique shops. As you explore the gardens you’ll also come across plenty of picnic benches and grass areas for a picnic. Visitors should keep to the marked paths and bring suitable footwear.
Be sure to stop at the outdoor amphitheatre for a photo or impromptu performance!

FAQs for planning a trip to Glynllifon
WHEN IS GLYNLLIFON OPEN?
During peak season (1 April – 30 September) Monday – Saturday we are open 10.00 – 17.00, and 11:00 – 16:00 on Sundays.
During low season (1 October – 31 March) Thursday – Saturday we are open 10.00 – 17.00, and 11:00 – 16:00 on Sundays.
HOW DO I ENTER THE PARK?
Enter through the main arch then turn left to get to the parking area. Continue a short distance on foot to reach the café, playground and shop. This is the start of the park.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
Prices:
Day entry tickets cost £6 for adults, £5 for pensioners and £4 for children. A family day ticket costs just £16 for 2 adults and 2 children.
Season tickets are also available at just £30 for adults, £20 for children and £50 for families.
WHERE CAN I PARK MY CAR?

CAN I BRING MY DOG?
Absolutely, it’s a great place to walk with your dog. Please keep them on a lead and be sure to clean up any mess as you go.
